Dear Georgia...

We've never met, but I know you. You left this earth before I was born, and yet I feel like I've known you forever. You are an inspiration to a woman like me...one where we walk through doors that are built for the few, but have the capacity for many. It was you who allowed me to take that first step into a space I never knew existed in myself. It was you who whispered "you have the ability to do this." It was you who has pushed me further into seeing past the obvious and into the soul of everything I see. It was you who showed me the light.

A note to Georgia O'Keefe - October 14, 2026

This is my interpretation of Georgia O'Keefe's collection of flowers through the lens. Though she is one of my inspirations on my photography journey, I didn't intend to follow her "vision" in the flowers she painted. Through my years of capturing the world, I found I was expressing some of my thoughts and feelings through her "eye."
