Who is m. leigh...

Hi! I'm Michelle D. Bennewitz, owner of m. leigh photography and design studio and a lifelong resident of Colorado.

After graduating from the University of Denver with a BA in Business, earning an MBA in Market Strategy and an MNM in Nonprofit Management from Regis University and enjoying a successful career in marketing and event management, I followed my lifelong passion of capturing the beauty of our world through a camera lens and graphic arts. 

While my specialties include black and white landscapes and vibrant macro florals - imagine Ansel Adams and Georgia O'Keefe - my primary photographic focus is landscapes, nature and everyday candid life, following the inspirations of Ansel Adams, Georgia O'Keefe, Helen Levitt and Dorthea Lange.

I've followed my passion throughout the United States, as well as Mexico, the Caribbean and Europe. Quite often, though, I find my most vivid inspirations while hiking the majestic Colorado mountains or horseback riding in my hometown in Lone Tree, CO.
